MaiSpace // May 23–24, 2026

Greetings Space Entities, 50 days after Easterhegg we warmly invite you to MaiSpace! Over the weekend we'll gather in Potsdam to tinker, discuss, learn and make the world a little better (or at least more interesting).

Whether you're experienced hackers, curious beginners or digital activists – MaiSpace is the place for your input.

🛠 What we're looking for
We're looking for anything that makes the community's heart beat faster. You decide the format:

Talks: 30 to 60 minutes about your passion project, security vulnerabilities, net politics or wild hardware.

Workshops: Hands-on! Soldering, programming, lock picking or crypto parties.

Short Demos & Lightning Talks: You built something cool but don't want to give a whole talk? Bring it!

Other Formats: Do you want to moderate a panel discussion or set up an art installation? We'll find a spot.

🔍 Potential Topics
We're open to almost anything, but here's some inspiration:

Security & Privacy: Exploits, encryption, anonymity.

Hardware & Making: Microcontrollers, 3D printing, vintage computing, audio.

Ethics & Society: Surveillance, AI implications, digital education.

Sustainability: Green IT, repair culture, hardware hacking for the environment.

Chaos Culture: Gaming, lockpicking, colorful lights and everything fun.

Note: MaiSpace is an event that lives on mutual respect. We follow the hacker ethic and want to create a space where everyone feels comfortable.

Note 2: This event is monokel-free
